Description: He dresses well, wearing brown shirts, loose pants, and blazers most of the time. His skin is fair and his fingers are delicate and long. He wears his chestnut hair down. He wears a mask on his face.
Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.
History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. When Bernard reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.
History: Born to a Courier, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Carpenter father left him crippled. He has worked as a Layabout like his father before him.

Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and brown, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. His eyes are blue and catlike.
Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ernest grew up listening to his father's many stories. Ernest was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Ernest decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Recently the stress of being a Doctor has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Description: Runty and weak-looking, he does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. His hair is auburn and curly. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are hazel.
Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.
History: Born in the south to a Performer, Henry learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Performer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Performer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
