Ralf grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ralf. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Shane was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Fisher. Being a Fisher kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
