Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His skin is also unnaturally pale. He sports a long black beard, and similarly colored long hair. His hazel eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: He is happy with his job as a Merchant. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: Thomas lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Description: He stands about 5'9" and wears a worn and beaten armor. His right hand appears badly burned and disfigured. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy brown hair. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.
Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and wants to work out more often

Description: A 6'6" eastern man, he dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over his head. His long red hair reaches down to his waist. He wears a mask on his face.
Personality: He is a Detective first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his dancing with anyone who is interested.
History: Diggory was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has worked as a Detective like his father before him.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Map Maker profession.
History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Description: This light-skinned male is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. He is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His violet eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.
History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
