History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Fletcher. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with feathered hat. He has styled his auburn hair well, parting it to the right. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
