He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Banker. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
