Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Hubert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Hubert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.
