Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Robert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Guy was born on a far eastern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Carpenter. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He's in love; and to settle down with his crush

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is unsatisfied with his job
