History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Chad never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his music with anyone who is interested.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He struck the Layabout job and began his own company from there.
