History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. After coming to the age of reason, Kody took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Mortician work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mortician work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Mortician.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and he has decided he is irredeemable
