He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Doctor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor.
