History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Kyle lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His first spouse was a Mortician, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and to reunite with his absent mother

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His red hair and beard is wavy and long. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has achieved small success as a Body Guard.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He sports red clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. His hair is short and red. His brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Born in the west to a Barrister, Roland learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roland grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roland. Being a Barrister kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
