Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.
History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and sabotage a competitor

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Description: This light-skinned male wears a blue coat over a black low-cut shirt, and a broad hat upon his head. He is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. He has done his best to style his white hair to look like a famous performer. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.
Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.
History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Being a Bather kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Description: He is an attractive man, lean and moderately muscular. He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bertram grew up listening to his father's many stories. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Description: He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. He has blonde hair. His brown eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.
History: Aldous lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Aldous was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Aldous's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He tends to his Shoemaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
