Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
