He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Lance was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Roofer for hire.

History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by drow. His parents enrolled him in a Fighter school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the drow.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and someone believes him a fraud
