History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Balimaar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Shoemaker, but he got bored and became a Junk Dealer. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Gifted from a young age, Miles studied abroad. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
