History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Through the years after Bertram was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Bertram's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and to get a good night's sleep

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he's looking for his big break
