History: He got into the Courier business at a young age. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bertram embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Bertram lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
