Hugh's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Gunter's homeland. Gunter decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Miles hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
