History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Adelard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to goblins.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
