His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. At a young age his mother died while driving off some gnolls. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in shortbow use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Fletcher arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
