History: The child of a Gardener, who enjoyed hunting, Adelard was taken on many hunting expeditions. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Adelard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Adelard. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Unemployed for hire.
