History: Bernard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he wants revenge against goblins

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. His moppish golden hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his hazel eyes.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 91. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a robe, a symbol of death around his neck, and a greataxe on his belt. His hair is red and curly. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
