After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Gerald was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has never given up on his music dream.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
