History: He comes from a rich western family. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He's also a talented Shoemaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and sabotage a competitor

He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: The child of a Scribe, who enjoyed hunting, Roland was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and doesn't want to be a carter and was forced into it by his family
