Description: An older man who is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time, he is not a threatening figure. His auburn hair is long and unkept. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Gerard took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. History: He was born in the north. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
