History: He was born at the edge of vast island. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Chad took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up scythe and armor he uses now. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Chad was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he is greedy

History: Nicholas lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.
