Description: This man is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. He has done his best to style his golden hair to look like a famous performer. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. A true patriot, Ernest would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Description: He is a physically imposing light-skinned man. He wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. His red hair is thinning but still full. His eyes are gray and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Navigator arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Description: 5'7" and lanky with angular features, he is an attractive figure. He wears baggy brown pantaloons and a blue scarf. He has wavy black hair. His amber eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Animal Trainer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he seems to be bored by most things

Description: He has a missing left leg. He wears a brown coat over a black low-cut shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat upon his head. His tied-back hair is red. His eyes are hazel and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and he has money and likes to spend it

Description: This tall, slender man wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. His hair, while still mostly black, has prominent grey streaks. His brown eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and wants to raise his children well
