History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Ploughman mother left him crippled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. The war was a terrible time for him, and Lance does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Tanner arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Gardener they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Shoemaker, and he later adopted a second daughter.
