History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Layabout and was forced into it by his family; and to unite with his brother

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to share knowledge with the world

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after John was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. John's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He prefers to carry a warhammer, but if one is not available he will default to his bow, and is pretty ugly. With bright brown hair and a scraggly beard. He has several tiny jet earrings on each ear.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.
