History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Manfred has worked very hard to control his curse. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.

History: Born to a Fortune-teller, his father struggled to pay the bills. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bricklayer. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bricklayer for the past few years.
