Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Bookbinder born in the past three hundred years. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Hubert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He tends to his Bookbinder job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Frederick embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. The war was a terrible time for him, and Frederick does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Sage. He has worked as a Sage like his mother before him.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.

Personality: The man has a huge range of feeling. He will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how he will be a better person from this day on. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gunter never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is content

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.
