Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, John and his spouse have recently divorced.

His skin is also unnaturally pale. His long silver hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady gray eyes.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Engraver who has hired him part-time. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end.

History: Roland was born with his mother's beautiful face. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
