His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He always tries to repair and not replace. History: John was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His childhood dream was to be a Bellfounder, but he was a colossal failure. He struck the Blacksmith job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Blacksmith and was forced into it by his family; and to unite with his brother

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
