History: Dean hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Heward's homeland. Heward decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Heward fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sage. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Miller. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and balancing his hectic life and new sage responsibilities is difficult

History: Gerald lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Barkeep, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear
