History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Alex abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
