Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. William enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, William was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

His white hair is heavily combed to the left. His eyes are a pleasant hazel.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: A stocky lighter skinned man, he is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. He has a long blonde beard with little hanging trinkets. He has several tiny topaz earrings on each ear.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born in a small forest village. Charles was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Tanner. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has money and likes to spend it
