History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Geoffrey lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the west. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents enrolled him in a Fighter school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. Being a Blacksmith kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
