Description: An imposing man with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic left leg, he wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. His hair is cut close to his head. His fierce green eyes like to dwell on things.
Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.
History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and he wants revenge against gnolls

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Stableman for hire.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and many dire rats want him driven away

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and money/treasure
