Personality: Roland is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Raymond isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Raymond was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
