When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Spice Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. After months of barely getting by, Cory managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Detective born in the past three hundred years. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He was born in the north. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.
