History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Shane was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Stableman. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He hates Humans with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Roland was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

Motivation: He wants revenge against drow; and revenge

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
