Description: He is a husky man, who is renowned for his bright grey suits and hats. His hair is chestnut and curly. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines hazel.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He is a Hag in disguise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Courier work with an outfit from a few towns over. Courier work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Courier responsibilities is difficult; and a strong sense of loyalty to human people

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears tan painted combat armor at almost all times. He wears a feathered hat to hide his balding. He has a dull look in his amber eyes.

Personality: Ernest hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his singing career. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and many dire rats want him driven away

Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He wears a brown costume with the symbols of his god on his torso. His hair is brown and curly. His gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Miles is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Born to a Crown-heir, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: Odo is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born into a rich family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he has money and likes to spend it

Ideals: Opinionated. Flaws: Ugly, Racist. Bonds: Rich, Mentor. Occupation: Dilettante
