History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born in the north. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He moved out east to avoid the crime he committed. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To be a Layabout again; and to clean up the streets

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He struck the Fortune-teller job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He wants to get laid; and doesn't want to be a fortune-teller and was forced into it by his family
