History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
