History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Alex was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Alex decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and wants to raise his children well

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Merchant work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: Hubert speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and to reunite with his absent mother
