History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ernest grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ernest. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing singing.

History: Born in the east to a Tailor, Geoffrey learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Tailor for the past few years.

Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His hair, while still mostly white, has prominent grey streaks. His violet eyes peer out from beneath his Stetson blue hat.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, William has worked very hard to control his curse. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Hubert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
