Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Dilettante.

Motivation: Expand his business; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and he has money and likes to spend it

Description: 5'8" and muscular, this western man wears a black vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His brown leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his black boots flare out at the collars. He has chestnut hair. His amber eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and wants to work out more often

Description: He is a physically imposing dark-skinned man. He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with broad hat. He has moderate length chestnut hair. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
