When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Glassblower hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: Born in the south to a Body Guard, Manfred learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Dilettante, but he got bored and became a Body Guard. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Body Guard.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Bertram's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When Bertram reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
