When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His childhood dream was to be a Roofer, but he was a colossal failure. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the west. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Aldous was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to protect his home

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
