Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Thomas hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he desires power and/or immortality

History: He got into the Beggar business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
